1 ton vs 1/2 ton

I have an older truck (65) that is like a 2 ton truck. I am wanting to convert it from the I-beam front to a control arm setup. Looking at the front crossmember it seems very similar to the 1/2 ton if I remember correctly. I know that these half ton crossmembers are a direct bolt in basically for my year of truck so I was curious as to how different the 1-ton chassis is. Can I just unbolt and swap it like the half ton stuff?

Can't help with the heavy stuff, but I bolted an '85 crossmember to a '62 frame with no issues.

AFAIK the cross members are the same. All the suspension components are different.
