you are right about 882's but nothing compared to the #624's. these heads were let's say extremely light comparatively, seems like 90% of which cracked in the center 2 combustion chamber exhaust seats. The 305 heads #450 2 bbl., #416 4 bbl, and small chamber #301 all had the same cracking problem. Anyway, sometimes a chevy motor can be identified (reasonably) by knowing the casting markings on the ends of the heads.
