Engine seal kits: brands

What brands of seal kits has everyone had good results with? Pulled my pan tonight to replace the rear main while I'm doing my t5 swap. I've read a few write ups of guys buying a certain brand and having issues the next few months. I'm hoping for a one and done parts kit

Re: Engine seal kits: brands

what engine? If its a SBC the one piece gasket from FelPro is the way to go. There are several different ones depending on if you need the thick or thin front seal

You might get some ideas on this site but I am of the opinion that if a particular brand was bad they wouldn't remain in business.

Mine too, but for now I think some engine stop leak has done the trick.

Fel Pro makes a silicon 2900 for $9.97 from summit or a Fluoroelastomer 2919 for $23.49

Any input on one over the other or am I gonna be ok buying the cheaper on?
