Trailing arm adjustment

I've been searching and have not been able to find a definitive answer on whether to raise or lower my trailing arms. The truck is a 67 c10 swb, it has a 454 iron headed and th400 with bout 3000 stall. I'm getting ready to put a set of 305/60/15 M/T drag radials on the truck. Weight of the truck is 4080 lbs without me in it. I'm running a 2 inch lowering block in the back at the the moment and lowering the arms would help my pinion angle. I would just like to know to lower or raise the mount so I can get better traction and not just spin. Anybody still running trailing arms at the strip your opinion is valued, thanks for your time.

I'm pretty sure that when you lower a vehicle, typically the trailing arms are mounted up higher on the cross member. On my ECE drop member, the arms are mounted up higher than the stock cross member. Do your lowering blocks have any sort of taper to them? As in, are they thicker in the rear than in the front?

no unfortunately they are square. I used them as a quick(cheap) way to lower the truck. They will eventually be removed when I can afford coilovers. I know I'll have to get shims to get the pinion angle fully right. I'm more worried about the squat and antisquat and what works best for the trucks but thanks.

With a radial I would suggest a lower ic as it will be a little more forgiving.

Awesome, thank you. I've heard a local guy say that that has raced the trucks just wanted a few more opinions for a good starting point. Super73 do you have a pic of your adjustable brackets I found your thread on them and will probably building a set this weekend would just like a reference point.

I am also interested in seeing some pictures of the adjustable brackets. I'm in the process of making my own at the moment. Being able to adjust the I/C for more or less anti squat is an invaluable asset in traction control. Super73 do you still offer these?

What kind of power do you think the motor is producing? Have you ran that tire before with traction issues?

I dont think you will have traction issues. I would take it to the track and find out prior to spending money and time on parts.

Just a guess but I would like to say 450 hp but that's being hopeful. I do know the 235/75/15's on the truck know don't stand a chance. I'm looking at this as more long term as I hope to upgrade to the 6-700 hp range. The biggest hurdle with the upgraded engine is the rest of the truck that needs upgraded to support that power. Also this would help with my pinion angle right now, hopin to kill two birds with one stone or just maybe 1 1/2 but whatever helps.
