6 lug or 8 lug? 6 lug will be 14 bolt semi float, 8 lug could be 14 bolt semi float or a full floater....

If your question is gears you can get really close by jacking it up and turning the tire and counting the driveshaft revolutions. Put the truck in neutral and block your tires. If it's an open rearend jack it up enough to get one tire off the ground. If it's a posi jack it up enough to get both tires off the ground. Mark the tire and the driveshaft. Turn the tire ten times and count the number of times the driveshaft turns. If the driveshaft turns 30 times you have around a 3.00 gearing (3.08 likely).
If I remember right on an open rearend you need to divide your answer by 2. So to keep it easy turn the tire 20 times, and then you can divide the driveshaft revolutions by 10.

If you've got the RPO codes on the SPID sticker inside the glovebox you can tell what came with the truck by decoding that. Should be something that starts with a "G".

The codes in the glove box will help you in figuring out the ratio. They will not help in figuring out the size of the differential.
