Confirming frame on 1972 3/4 ton suburban
I have a 1972 suburban k20, the po told me it had a different frame under it. I am restoring the suburban and I striped the frame and found these numbers on the drivers side frame rails 2F108014 I think it may be original or at least same yr.

Re: Confirming frame on 1972 3/4 ton suburban
That number was by steering box and on top of frame rail by drivers door. There was also another number on the side of the front end of frame it is 60250 I am not sure what that number means at all. Any help is much appreciated. The reason I think it might be original is that it still has the eaton rear end on it and I believe the original dana 44 up front. This is the hard part about working on these old trucks you just never know what really ever happened in their life time.

That frame number should match the last digits of the trucks VIN number if it is the original frame. The 8th number of the VIN would be the 2 which means '72, the 9th number of the VIN would be the F which means it was built at the Flint, MI assembly plant. The other 6 numbers should be the serial number. LockDoc
