any pics of 94-98 doorpanels with older dash

88-93 truck with the 94-98 door panels? Can you locate a later truck/friend who will let you sit and ponder the swap? One thing I have noted is that you can get replacement panels and trim parts for the earlier style, but only some of the trim parts for the later ones...panels and upholstery are not available as far as I have been able to learn.

I think '94 is still a square dash? Anways I didnt do that, I have a '95 with the older door panels. I just like the flat look of the old door panels, that and they were all power lol.

Right. He's looking for '95-'98 door panels on a truck that still has the '88-'94 dash.

A friend of mine did this on his '94. It really looked pretty good. Unfortunately, I never got any good pics of it before he got rid of the truck.

my bad i meant 95 doors. They changed grille design in 94 but yeah 95 doors. Ilike the flat dash too but i really want some door speakers. that look factory. i found a set that match my truck perfect but i cant return them so it would be a waste of 220 bucks. unless anyone knows of a good subwoofer box that wont make me lose room in the cab. im 6foot 3 and like 210 pounds haha. and power windows and locks are a plus as well. had em on my first truck, never got em again. really wasnt a priority then

I have more pics of his truck than he does. I'm the shutterbug. So no, he doesn't.

I did find a couple shots of the interior, but you honestly can't see how it works. It was a crappy camera at an indoor show shooting a solid black interior of a truck with very dark window tint. Quadruple fail.

Ok, so I'm repainting my interior black. Im color matching new doors if i get them. do they dont look too bad? or would people automaticaly know they arent original. (these people dont know much about any vehicle.) do they look semi normal? Probly gonna go ahead and get them. who knows might buy two sets and try to frankenstine the top of the 89 door panel to the bottom part of the 96.

If you're doing your entire interior solid black, then the difference in the doors-to-dash would be even less noticeable.

Even if you did the interior in some bright, visible color, half the people that get into your truck would probably never notice the mis-matching door panels and dash.

My interior is mostly the same bright blue as the exterior of my truck and if I had the time and money, I would do this to the truck. It looks good. Quit sweating it and go for it.

Thanks for the wwords of wisdom. I think I'm gonna do it. As a little birdie told me it didnt look to bad. and the fact that this truck is a budget build. I am however going to wait for probly early may to do it. (friend is coming back from army to a totaled truck, told me he wanted a couple things then i could have it.) Its a 96 so thats a better price. actually in the process of painting now. just using light coats of rostoleum. doesnt look to bad even with spotlights on it. anyway saw a pic today of door speakers in the older doors? anyone heard of that? or know how to do it?

Cut a hole and mount the speaker? When I bought my truck way back in '96, it came with door speakers. Actually, it came with door speaker holes and grilles, but I put speakers back in them. I've just rolled with it. It's nothing fancy, but they're there.

what kind of speakers? if i can get away with that, i might keep my panels use troys truck for a new project. (troy is army friend) pics of yours? ive seen it done but it looked pretty jacked up I'm sure you have somthin nice. pics?

They're just 5.25s. I have some pics...somewhere. They're basically the door panels with some speaker grilles on them (and speakers behind them). They're nothing really pretty, but there were holes in my doors, so I made sure they became functional holes.

I'm just curious how they fit. there isnt enough room behinf the door panel for them. do the stick out from the door a little bit? i know i hav a set of 90 panels around here somwheres that have power accessoies, so i can have clearence for them. Info on this is alot of help.
