71 Longstep project + future daily driver
Since it has been warming up here I have started on my truck again.
Sunday I put in new plugs in the 250 plus an air-filter and battery. Then tonight i started to put my new taillights on. Need to fix some wiring problems and and redo all of the brakes+suspension. Then im planning to paint satin black with gloss red or black ralley's and red pinstripe. For the interior I am thinking of putting heated leather/vinyl buckets with a console. Pics of new taillights and old Interior.

Started tearing into the truck. Removed the cowl to cleanout a bucket full of leaves. Then stripped out my interior to star5 rewiring. Found that the brown wire from heater is no5 there and I have 2 reverse switches lol.

Re: 71 Longstep project + future daily driver
Got back to work on my truck today. Took all the parts out of the bed and ripped out all of the old wood. Next I'm going to remove the step-side fenders and bed strips. Pics are of rotten of bed.Probably going to use a boat lacquer and plywood for replacement.

Started to tear apart the truck. Cleaned out bed and started cutting out rusty strips and rotten wood. Also got the old interior out. Already a lot nicer lol!

Re: 71 Longstep project + future daily driver
Finally got to updating my project thread. I have since removed the bed and replaced everything with the front brakes other than lines. I also put in new shocks. I also painted the rear frame and dressed up the motor. I just finished putting a new roof skin on from Southern kentucky Classics to repair a sunroof hole and putting in drivers floor, inner and outer rockers and now i just have to do cab corners.
