Re: interior paint
What Tinker said. He's right, only you need to like it, so go for it! But, since you asked, I think that combo just might wear on you after a while... Stock is good. Single color is a close second. If you do the patchwork approach, it may look like, well, a patchwork approach - i.e. people might think your doors came from another truck or something like that(!) Having said that, I'm kinda having a hard time picturing what you're imagining, any sketches? If not, taking a stab at that might be a good drill for you to decide if you really like it before you paint the whole enchilada. You don't sound too certain it's the way you want to go yet, or is it my imagination
In the end - have fun, learn, and if you don't like it, you can do it again a different way! And show us some pics no matter how it turns out. |

Re: interior paint
I agree with Jocko and Tinker. Are you using a spray gun or rattle can? The color is subjective but the application process can make a huge difference in how you feel about it a year or two down the line.

Re: interior paint
thanks for the responses. My original plan was to paint all interior gloss black with red leather seat and grey carpet. then paint outside flat gunmetal grey but was stuck on how I should tackle the door jams, should i paint gloss black or go with body color. another option i was thinking of was to paint interior body color but in base coat, clear coat then paint body in flat. I already have the roof and dash in gloss black and one door in flat body color just need to paint the door panel black and i guess just see how the looks.
I am using paint gun. |
