Upper Door Hinge problem - swing-open limiter pulling thru

On '67 C10... Pass door has been swung all the way open too many times. Upper hinge where limiter/stopper located is pulling through on inside bolt. Outside two bolts still have some sheet metal around them. I think I'll be cutting an access hole in front of window reg is and forming a piece to fit across and trying to weld it in, inside the door.
I've been searching and don't see a trick for this. Just wondering if you had advice and what worked or what was overkill.

This was very tricky to reach in with welder and try to see what I was doing. But still easier than changing door.
