headliner help
pulled the headliner out of my 93 rcsb the other day
is it reasonable to think I could pull off the old fabric which is tattered and maybe another layer of whatever is under that and use some spray adhesive and some fresh fabric? I dont want to buy a replacement too much money for an old 4th vehicle |

Re: headliner help
pull the old fabric off us a stiff brissle brush to get the loose foam off. go to walmart or a fabric store and get some fleece buy the good headliner adhesive spray. i did my 89 for about 35 bucks and a few hours . have to do my 97 and i plan to do a step by step. that wont be for a few weeks. the fleece works the best i found plus it is nice and soft with some cushion..

Re: headliner help
I did my 88 last summer. Headliner fabric from Jo-Ann Fabrics. Headliner adhesive from NAPA. $25 total and it looks like new. Gently brush off all of the old headliner. Then carefully follow the instructions on the adhesive can. Took me about four hours.
Good luck!

Re: headliner help
Bought the stuff from Joann and a can of 3 m 90. Takes a lot of glue but one yard was perfect

Re: headliner help
Some pics would be nice as the headliner in my 94 has seen better days.
It's an Ex-cab. How hard are they to remove? Kim |

Re: headliner help
Extra cab would be more cumbersome but the material is the perfect width of the headliner so 2 yards would be perfect
I removed all the old stuff down to the fiberboard As for removal go slow the old plastics is getting brittle. It velcros in the front behind the rear view mirror Wish I had taken pictures sorry |

Re: headliner help
If you're careful, you can just remove the dome light and the rear panel above the windshield and you can get the headliner out without removing any of the side trim.
