95-98 door panels and seat in a 93?
Just wondering if the newer door panels will adapt to my 93. Not sure how they would work with the older dash style. My seat and carpet is pretty ragged out from the previous owners. Was just thinking about getting some newer interior if it would work. My father in law had a 99 ext cab and I liked the seats in it. They were pretty comfortable. They were buckets but would probably look at a 60/40 or something like that.
I have the small drivers seat and the larger passenger now. Not sure if it is a 70/30 or 60/40. Never heard of a 70/30 until I looked at car-part.com. If it would work then I could update the interior a little bit except the dash. Would be nice to have the newer dash but that is a little more than I want to get into changing over.

A friend of mine swapped to the '95-'98 door panels on his '94 years ago. It worked out pretty good. The courtesy light switches are in different locations and I don't recall if they would strike the door panel in the correct spot to work or not. I can't remember what he did for that.

door panels don't match the contour of the dash. if i were changing one, i would definitely change out the other.

Honestly the only seats and interior parts that look good in the 93s are of the same year. The 95+ is all rounded and doesn't mesh well with the squareness.

You would be surprised at how well the newer door panels work with the older dash. I was skeptical when my friend told me he was doing his interior that way, but it wasn't too bad when it was all done. When the doors are open, you don't really pay much attention to the mis-match (unless you're just looking for it) and when the doors are closed, the lines aren't so far off that it's glaringly obvious. If it wasn't pointed out to you and you weren't specifically looking for it, you probably wouldn't notice it immediately.

I'd like to see it myself. I haven't had any luck finding a set of red 1992-94 Blazer/Yukon/Suburban/Crew cab door panels.

There is a big distinct difference in every way between a 94 door panel and a 95 door panel. Even where the dash meets the door panel doesn't line up and looks off. Source: |

I would like to see more pics myself. I have been looking for a good write up on doing a dash swap just to see what all is involved.

95 is a one off year you want to avoid if you do it but 96+ if I remember is a fairly close bolt in affair. |

Re: 95-98 door panels and seat in a 93?
I am going to look around and see what I can pick up the carpet, panels and a seat for and go from there. I am just wanting to clean up the interior. The previous owners just sat parts on the seat and stained it and the carpet was pretty nasty not to mention the fabric on both is wore off in spots. I cleaned them once and had a friend who details do them once but they are still noticeably dirty. I can live with the dash even though I have been wanting the newer one.
