Help!!

Hi everyone. I've got a huge oil leak around my pan so I thougt it was the oil pan gasket. Replaced the gasket with felpros one piece and it worked like a charm. The engine has been dry for a couple of days now but this morning when I checked... The passenger side wheel housing was covered in oil. Now my valve cover gaskets are new as well so I didn't think it would come from there... The only thing I can think of is head gasket? I don't smoke at all though!! I don't get it.

Possibly from your dipstick. Did you maybe forget to put it back in when you did the pan gasket?

you forgot the bottle of oil and it spilled? probably fell under the car while driving?

The back of the intake manifold is famous for blowing out on older engines due to the increased crank case pressure from mileage wear & tear on the rings.

They are also easy to push out of place slightly when changing the intake gaskets if you are not careful which leaves them more vulnerable to push out from even normal crank case pressure.

It causes a pretty good oil leak and is tough to see well enough to tell where the oil is coming from.

I have also seen where a piece of the wire harness or a plug wire got wedged under the back of a valve cover during installation of new gaskets and kept the valve cover from being seated all the way. Might want to check for that on the passenger side to make sure it didn't happen to you.

Valve cover is clamped down good, Intake isn't leaking as well! It was all sealed up and dry but the oil just came out of nowhere after two days of a dry engine bay!

There is such a thing as over tightening. Double check the pan and valve covers. It can distort the metal to where you will never get it to seal.
Go over it with a fine tooth comb. Wipe it or clean it up, start it up, crawl all over it with a light.
Check the oil sender behind the intake if ya have it. Get a mirror for that. Intake in the same area.
Is it on top, or under the wheel housing? Im betting something you just fixed let loose..

Well I used the gasket with the metal cores in the holes. I'll give it a woo and check it out!

Clean everything thoroughly, use a flourescent dye, and spot the actual source. Squashed valve cover gaskets are a tricky one, and that rear intake manifold seal can be a sneaky headache. We used to solve oil leaks, in my old shop, like that. It could take a couple days to spot them, but, customers were happy to pay for the service. Those HOA rules about dirty driveways motivated them greatly.

I'll give it a try! Thanks everyone, is it possible it's coming from the head gasket though? It looks like the source is Inbetween #2 and #4 cylinder by the plugs.

Off-hand chance of wicking up around head bolts, but that wouldn't be substantial. Head gasket can leak externally, you may have bigger problems afoot.

If you sealed up the pan, it found the next best place. Have you checked both gaskets under the fuel pump?
