Can't remove my wiper arms

I bought the Snap-on tool number A192. I figure all I have to do is per the picture below. Doesn't seem to want to budge and I don't want jack anything up. What the heck? No rust. I sprayed some silicone........came up empty.

Re: Can't remove my wiper arms

Okay, I found it was easier to flip it over compared to picture for the LH side.

Two hands. One pushes the bar forward while pulling the extension on the arm(spring) back like the picture, the other is under the base of the wiper arm, pushing the arm straight out. I'm lucky I didn't mess anything up. I was applying too much pressure, but not using the other hand. Like most things, if it's a struggle, then you're doing it wrong. Tape the arms off, and paint just in case, but you really shouldn't need to. It should come off with ease.

It's all in the details dude. I'm taking notes as well. A bunch. A ton of knowledge on this board.

Re: Can't remove my wiper arms

Well you helped me by figuring it out. I was going to remove mine this weekend and have been looking at them trying to figure out how to remove without messing them up. Thanks.
