58.. 2 holes in trans cover?
Quick one... Sorry to ask dumb/obvious questions on here!
I'm working on my 58.. 283 and manual gearbox. Haven't. driven her yet as its a long way off. The transmission cover has a hole for the gearlever and another one to the right. There isn't a lever coming though.. Anyone know what that's for? |

Do you have pics of such a handbrake dwcsr?
I have a '59 with handbrake under the dash at the steering column support.. AND two holes in the trans cover also...

Yea I have that too, its the parking brake lever, which was typically found on the 3/4 ton trucks and larger. 3600 series.

yep, i have the handbrake under the dash too.. maybe someone put a different trans cover in... i assume there is one with just one hole?

Chevy probably pressed only one cover for all their types?
