where to buy replacement upholstery for bench seat

I have the stock velor upholstery in my 86. Anyone reccommend the best place to buy new upholstery for it. I see that chevyduty sells a replacement one that is supposed to be like the original. Anyone know if this one is a good one or would you reccommend a better place?

Mike

I saw those. They say they have a vinyl center though. My truck is completel cloth. Like to get one similar.

My '86 seat is all cloth on the top, just vinyl on the sides and back. As far as I know, it is original. I just plan to ask an upholsterer to try to duplicate the pattern. "Close" is close enough for me since it isn't a restoration.

I saw a comment on one of the boards a while back where someone purchased a repro upholstery kit. He was unhappy with it because he said the texture that the original seat had was printed on in a contrasting color rather than woven into the fabric. I don't remember who posted that, or who the vendor was, but it might be something to look out for.

Classic Industries ( www.classicindustries.com) has them in their catalog. They have either all velour for 81-87 for $149.95. They also have all vinyl for $139.95. I think Chevyduty, LMC, and Classic Industries may buy from the same vendor, maybe?
