aftermarket radio in stock dash

What is the best sounding/quality radio you guys have found to go in the stock location without cutting the dash? I want to keep my dash intact, but want better sound.

Re: aftermarket radio in stock dash

There are places that can convert your stock radio to a super nice AM FM radio, if i had to do it over i'd go that route

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=536042

I bought a 620 thru Custom Auto Sound, My biggest peave about it is the tuner glass has fake numbers and hash marks on it like a old tuner, but when you turn it on the insides are digital and you cant read the station numbers ect in the daytime, not sure about the night time.

EDIT: 630 not 620 ( USA-630 )

It's no big deal to have 180w,AM/FM,CD,XM,and MP3 capable with good old original look using your factory AM or buying one of his new units and leave the dash intact.

Re: aftermarket radio in stock dash

I was really disappointed in Retrosound. I purchased a Model One from them and only drive my truck once every few months. After a 1 1/2 years it started pulling 3 amps while my truck was parked. I contacted them and they said I could send it back and they would charge a minimum of $160.00 to fix it. I paid $300 for the radio new. Very unsatisfied with the customer service I received. Overall the radio unit was pretty nice. Good luck for anyone else that purchases one of their radios.
