What size are the bed strip bolts?
for a stepside. trying to see if I can buy them local.

1/4 20 X 1 1/2" cariage bolts.

If you are using original bed strips, those use ribbed shank bolts. I believe they are 1/4-20 x 1-1/2". If you are using aftermarket strips, then you will need carriage bolts as PGSigns stated. The only supplier I know of for the ribbed shank bolts is Mar-K. The carriage bolts are commonly found.
