Re: 1972 LS3 C10 build

Well we are getting a little closer to being done. The guys at Twin City Upholstery in Bloomington, IL did an incredible job on the interior. Now back to Rick's shop at RJ Race Cars to finish up the last few items and we will be ready to go cruisin!

wow looking good, what is that "base" for your console made from? I need to make one for mine and I thougth about 1/4 inch plywood then cover it. Your entire project turned out great.

SEE PAGE 2. It has all the information on the console and some pics.

The truck console came from Classic Truck Consoles http://www.classictruckconsoles.com/ which again like the exhaust was a good base to start with but we knew there would be modifications for what we wanted.

Re: 1972 LS3 C10 build

Thanks for some of the information. I'll be putting the cab on a 69 this next week and I purchased the LS3 carb'ed motor. I wanted new and old school. My 13 year old daughter wants this truck to be her high school vehicle, so I guess now I need to build one for my 10 year old son....lol

Re: 1972 LS3 C10 build

Nice build! Im putting a LS3 and a 6L80E in my 67 SWB . It is a tight fit with the AC and alternator on the bottom but I kind of like the hidden look

I used the factory rear end but put in a 3.42 gear with new beefed up axles and posi track. I had axleboy http://axleboy.com/ do all the work.
