Measurement needed from the tilt column guys !!!!
Can someone with a tilt column tell me the overall length of the spring that holds tension on the gear shift lever in a automatic tilt column? I believe the replacement spring I bought is too long and will need to be trimmed. I am at a standstill until this gets resolved.
Thanks in advance |

Re: Measurement needed from the tilt column guys !!!!
I'm 2000 miles from mine (there is a broken one with both sections next to the computer there), but I believe they are about 5/8"-3/4". If nothing else this will take you back to the top.

Here is mine 72 auto tilt column just about 15/16" x 5/16" pretty heavy...Pretty sure it's original.
