2014 Silverado Wheel Option?

For some reason I really like the 2014 Silverado factory wheels(18" X 8.5"). I currently run the stock steel 15in with 4 wheel drum brakes on my 67(2wheel Drive). My guess is the hole pattern is fine but unsure about the offset etc. The center diameter of the hub could be an issue? If you run this wheel or something very close, could you post some pics and give some feedback? I almost pushed the button but figured I would ask here first. There is so much knowledge from our members and dropping $700 bones only to find out it wont work...would suck.

Thanks

Re: 2014 Silverado Wheel Option?

I had someone say on here that that pattern won't work but there are so many trucks running wheels off a truck model from 99 and up. Just look through the pic threads and you will see a ton. If anything needs done you could get a spacer to make it fit. Or if the center is too small one guy said he had his wheels machined a touch to make them fit. I have some wheels off like a 06 Suburban I junked out but I haven't been anywhere near needing rubber to the street. Jim

I think the concensus is that those rims are not the right offset. Your wheels will be tucked way too far in. I'm not sure about the center hole, though. I would think you could find them cheaper used on Craigslist.

Thumbs up Re: 2014 Silverado Wheel Option?

General rules.

6 on 6 lugs will work!
You may have to put longer studs in the spindles and rear axles also.
Wheels back spacing is way off. Centering the wheel can be fixed by having the wheels center machines are with the spacers.
A wheel spacer will solve the problems but then you are running a spacer and most people don't like that. Me doesn't matter much either way. I don't race my truck so it kind of a small point to me.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.
