1972 gmc 3/4 ton gande Sierra custom camper 4x4

Recently bought the above truck,. it has original rust free rockers, cab corners and paint.. Does anybody know production numbers for this truck. I would like to have it repainted but am unsure of what level of quality job to pay for without losing to much money if I resell in future. Does anybody know the price range these trucks go for?

I don't know but the tow hooks alone are worth $500.00 Nice truck you have.

If it still has the factory original paint on it I would polish it up the best you can and leave it. There is great value in an original painted truck. Now this is just my opinion.
Cool truck, let's see some more pics.

I agree 100%. Original paint cleaned up will keep value more than repainted truck. People love original paint because it just looks nice, shows that the truck was cared for, and most importantly that nothing is hiding under the repaint (rust, bad bodywork, bondo).

I would not repaint the truck. Keep it clean and enjoy it as it sits.

^^ I agree, a repaint on that truck would probably hurt the value rather than improve it.

You said you just recently bought the truck, so whatever you paid for it is what it's worth. If you feel you got ripped off, or got a good deal, or paid fair market value, those are the exact feelings someone else will have, or they'll just bid you a price regardless of what you tell them you want for it. If you're looking to flip it or bought it as an investment, you may have bought the wrong vehicle. With the whole original paint craze still hot, I wouldn't waste money on paint. Good paint isn't cheap and a well informed buyer will walk away if you spend pennies on paint.

This. If you bought an old truck hoping to make money on it by putting money into it you will be sadly mistaken... Sweat equity returns well usually, but not paying.

If you bought it because it is awesome and you plan on enjoying it you made the right choice.

Payed as much as I could afford on the cleanest truck I could find.. Been dreaming of owning one of these since I sold my c10. Think I will run it as it is till not painting it will harm trucks condition. I love the fact that the AC works on it and my wife's new Honda has to go in for repairs to AC
