Yes, A longer Stator Support shaft, Helps keep the Input Drum stable.
Larger Converter Clutch. Hence the 300mm.

The Modular Case is the biggest strength advantage, However GM made 245mm, 298mm & 300mm versions using the Modular case.

It doesn't flex like the earlier "Cast-in" open bellhousing 4L60E/700R4 cases.
