Read sport bumper and hitch

Please don't flame I tried to search but since we can't to specific forum searches the threads were overwhelming

Looking for pics and or opinions on sport bumpers with a hitch. Dad wants a hitch and sport bumper and is not a fan of the hidden hitch for whatever reason

He's also took a liking to the bumper from lmc with the exhaust cutouts

Re: Read sport bumper and hitch

those hitches are readily available. i puled one from a 73-87 truck and it works just fine. the receiver goes right under the lic. plate on the sport bumper.
it has to be from a truck thuogh. suburbans are different angled

Like this bumper mount bar stock style? Typically they are period rated as a Class II max 3500lb/250lb tongue.

Re: Read sport bumper and hitch

I had a new in box hidden hitch brand 2" rcvr I sold at a swap meet this weekend. It wouldn't work with my sport bumper. It had about 4" drop. It wasn't quite enough to miss the license plate. I made money on it though. I bought it online from a place that listedit by part number only not application for $60 and sold it for $100. I have another one with about 2-1/2 drop. I plan to cut a square hole in the license bracket and use a clip down plate holder.
