Disc Brakes
I'm looking to upgrade my drum brakes to disc brakes and looking at purchasing a conversion kit. The kits I have stumbled upon are the brothers, ece, and cpp. Since brothers is having a sale, the kit is alot cheaper than the others. I remember reading the kit does not include the master cylinder and another part needed. So what I'm asking what is this kit missing and is it a quality kit? Anybody have experience with the kit?

Have you been through the disc brake conversion thread? It has all the info on doing the conversion for a lot less money. What other plans or upgrades do you want or plan like power brakes and power steering? Knowing that will help get you a complete list.

I plan to have no power steering or braking. I would like to keep my 6-lug to and I have a 68 crossmember installed on my truck. The reason I'm looking at getting disc brakes is so I can use drop spindles.

Bumping this old thread. Will this kit come with everything I need to upgrade to disc brakes? It doesn't mention anything about a proportioning valve, so would I also have to order that to have power disc brakes? Also will I be able to clear 15's with this kit? I know most people will say order from ECE but living in Alaska makes that kit cost $480 to ship.

You need a dis/drum prop valve or an aftermarket adjustable prop valve with disc brakes.
Does matter if they are power brakes or manual.

That kit is a 6-lug kit.
It will clear oem 71-87 15" steel wheels made for disc brakes. It will not clear pre-1971 6-lug 15" steel wheels.

Which of these would be best? The non adjustable says it comes with the brake lines and the hardware, the adjustable one doesn't say if it does.
