A different artillery wheel question

I've got a set of artilleries that came off my wife's '54 Panel. I was looking at them the other day and noticed that the centers are actually riveted to the rims.
Are these things supposed to hold air, or are they tube type only wheels?

If they're tube type wheels, it would explain the 2 tires that kept going down(but not the 2 that held air).

i have a set of 5 15" artillaries myself that my grampa saved from his 41 GMC i think.
they do require a tube as they will not hold air by them selves. ive seen the finished product with these rims and they do look nice!
my uncle was an old gasser and back in the day he went and removed the rivits on two of the rims and reversed them!

I have a set of original '38 artilery style wheels the do not require tubes, but they do not have rivets in them either. one piece wheels.

I think I would try putting silicone around the rivets inside the rim and see if that wouldn't fix the problem. It would be cheaper than buying tubes. Also, you might have a problem finding tube type tires and I've always heard that you shouldn't run tubes in tubeless tires as they tend to flex and build up heat.

I'm not using these wheels(at least at this point). They came on the truck when we bought it. I was just looking at them and noticed the rivets. Had a light bulb minute in respect to the tires not holding air.
