Need Help w/stock rims

I am wanting to use original 15" 6 lug rims on my 68 C10. It has drums on back & frts have disc from what I have found from spindle casting #s there from a 92-02 5 lug truck, the disc are after market with no ID #s. ***I would like to learn how to measure from what point to what point for stock rim DIA. and all of the other measurements needed for ID ing a stock rim.*** Thanks in advance for the help. mjgord51

Re: Need Help w/stock rims

original stock rims will not work on those disc brakes// you r going to need 73 or newer rims

Re: Need Help w/stock rims

To go back to stock 15 in rims you will need to switch the front to a 71 72 5 lug disc brake spindles and rotors. It may be easier to get a whole crossmember to switch out with your current one. Then the 15 in rims in the front will need to be also from a 71 or 72 To clear the disc. Calipers you can identify the stock 15 in rims for a disc brake truck as the ones with four nubs to hold the hubcap on the earlier drum brake wheels only have three nubs.
You can do a search on the forum to find a lot of info on this subjct as it can be pretty confusing. You really need to have the same lug pattern on the front and rear so you will be able to carry one spare tire to fit all four corners.
