I usually have good luck at the swap meets. I don't know what you have on the left coast but we have the Spring Carlilse, Englishtown & Hershey meets. Usually some of the conversion companies selling new take outs and some guys that are parting trucks there too. I have seen nice leather seats selling for $250-$350 for the front and $200-$300 for the middle/rear. Cloth seats are a little cheaper.

I have seen posts on hear about using the 73-91 Sub seats in the 67-72's. They don't look too bad & you can find them at the local upull it.

The $1500 seat sounds like the price the dealer would want for a new one...
