Like in all movies, the sound was probably dubed in after filming was over. Just like on the dukes of hazzard, how many shifts can you get out of a 727 3 spd auto?

haha... i noticed how that thing was ALWAYS shifting.

the exhaust on that mustang is incredibly sweet!

i have noticed that in movies too.... cars with 3 and 4 speeds shift about 6-7 times.... i notice little things like that....

SOUND

The best sounding exhaust from a GM 350 I ever heard was on a 60ish Impala. The guy had taken the mufflers and put them as far back as he could and in this case right under the trunk on each side of the gas tank by the frame. I hope I descibed it right. I was wondering if anybody has ever taken any type of mufflers and put them somewhere behind the rearends in our trucks. What kind of back-pressure, breathing effect would that have on the engine? Maybe you'd have to x em to make them fit behind the rearend? I'm sure most of us have our mufflers in the same spots.

From a performance stand point, placing your mufflers as far back as possible is the best thing you can do.

Of course it is Andy, don't you think all of those ricers with the big mufflers know what's best? They have all of those stickers all over their cars, so they must be car gurus.
