found metal slugs in my gas tank?
I took my gas tank out to paint it and after I drained I found about 6 or so metal slugs about the size of a dime.Looks like maybe punched out slugs when the tank was made.I took them out but was wondering if they are suppose to be there to keep the tank clean like a algae eater.

The tank should not have anything in it. Could have been kids sticking stuff in the open cap at one point.
