My 64 C10 SWB Build
Making it my daily driver. Last on the road in 82, according to the stickers. I know it's been parked since 2000 which is when my dad picked it up in East Texas. Don't know much of the story before then but it seems to be a pretty straight truck.
Immediate or complete plans: 4 wheel disc (Done) 3"/5" Static Drop (Done) Wheels and Tires (Done) Steering Linkage (Done) Tubular C-Arms (Done) Rehab Trailing Arms (Done-Sand blasted and Powder Coated, New Energy Bushings) Bushings... Everywhere Power Steering 700R4 GM Performance 5.7 Complete Painless Harness Tilt Auto Column A/C Complete Interior Rehab ETC... Any comments or suggestions appreciated. This is my first real project. I'm pretty handy and willing to try. Only thing I've done prior to this was a bagged S-10. I loved it even though many probably hated it. Only thing I didn't like about it was it wasn't old. Thanks And my last project:

Re: My 64 C10 SWB Build
Thanks.
Needless to say, I didn't move much furniture in the S-10.

Re: My 64 C10 SWB Build
Who'd you buy the tank from? and after the tank is installed, does the rear frame crossmember get bolted back in at the original location?
Looks like a nice build. I like the wheels and that you stayed 6 bolt. Tell us about the wheels too.

Re: My 64 C10 SWB Build
The tank was from POL:
http://www.performanceonline.com/196...TE-KITS-19691/ The wheels are 17x8 with 0" offset and from Summit and happen to be on clearance: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/su...3gm0/overview/ Tires are Nitto 450's. 255/50R17 up front and 275/55R17 in the rear. I think they look pretty meaty with out loosing the look I was going for. I wanted it to look like a wheel option that would have been possible in the 60's.

Took the cab off the frame and stripped the frame down. Getting it galvanized today.. Why not... And then powder coated tomorrow. The frame will out last me.

Re: My 64 C10 SWB Build
Lots of spot welds to drill out. I pulled it so that I can run all of the new electrical and the Vintage Air kit more quickly. It has brackets now that keep it all pulled together, along with the bolts on the ends, when it is mounted. It will always be removable now.

Re: My 64 C10 SWB Build
Finally got the cab back from the body shop. Inside is all painted. Floor is Rhinolined and ready for more sound deadening. Wiring harness will be going in soon. A few steps closer...

Re: My 64 C10 SWB Build
Having the harness wrapped up and the A/C installed. Larry's Speed and Custom is doing the work for me. I started a new business and it has kept me busier than I could have ever imagined. Truck feel to the back burner.
