Sloppy Shipping Handling

I ordered a new Aluminum Radiator For My S10 from Jegs. The problem I have is it looks like the Shipper- FED EX must have played Frisbee with it. Both of the inlet and outlet tubes where bent and sticking out of the box. The worst part is they dented in the inlet tube so bad it mushroomed the tank.
I called Jegs and they will ship me a new one as soon as they get the damaged one back. I just wonder what's the odds I will ever get one to Iowa from Ohio not DAMAGED!
The second problem is in our small town we don't have a Fed EX shipper so I have to find one in a local town or drive 30 miles to Des Moines. Yes I know they would pick it up at my house, but I work 10 hours a day mowing and my wife works too so she'll be gone. I hate to leave a $300 dollar radiator sitting on my deck with Nobody home.
I'd hate for some jerk to scrap out my JUNK New Radiator

Re: Sloppy Shipping Handling

One nice thing about Jegs and Summit is they do stand behind their products. Sorry to hear about the damage, but at least Jegs will replace it.

Yes Jeg's will replace it they do stand behind their products. It just Frosts me when the shipper's don't respect what they are handling. It said on the box that it was a aluminum Radiator. That alone would tell me it wasn't made to be on the bottom of the stack!

Re: Sloppy Shipping Handling

I received my New unharmed and perfect radiator today. I can't put all the blame on FedEx as this one was shipped with a reinforced box around the original box. Sorry if this post seemed like a Rant I was just so disappointed with both Jeg's and FedEx.

UPS is worse that fedex alot of times. Seems like they play baseball with our packages...and charge rip off prices on top of that.

Re: Sloppy Shipping Handling

My son used to work at the Fed Ex main hub in Memphis. He says you would not believe how badly they treat packages.
