72 C20 toy hauler
Hello y'all,
New to the board and to this year truck. I have big plans for this truck. It is a 1972 C20 402 BBC, turbo 400 trans, and Dana 44. First thing I plan on doing is getting her health again. Normal bushings all around. I will be putting new suspension and helper bags in the rear. I have an L59 that I swamped in my 97 suburban that will be used for this build and want to supercharge it for when I want to play. Any help with upgrades ie disk brakes, lowering kits, gooseneck hitch, L's swap kits I will be doing my searching, but like others opinions on products and what not. |

Nothing to look at the moment, but cosmetics are last for me. I had to get up the side of some kind of mountain for pictures. Lol

Re: 72 C20 toy hauler
This truck hauls in any weather. So glad I got it. I got a set of 16" wheels and got them powder coated black. I haven't got around to pulling the motor out of the other truck yet.
I am trying to decide on steering and brakes. I was looking at getting a quick ratio gear box or going rack and pinion. Also trying to get disk brakes in the rear. It is a dana 60 not 44. What is yalls opinions? |

Ok things are getting serious now. I have to finish pulling the motor out of the suburban. I just ordered a new column, aluminum radiator, hoses, and picking up two precision 6767 for 1800 with one pass on them.

I am going to have to subscribe and go along for the ride on this one. I have been wanting to dabble in Turbo's for a while now. Keep us posted.

Re: 72 C20 toy hauler
Still just getting all the maintence done. Rebuilt the front end with new brakes, wheel bearings, bushings, and kyb shocks. I have new control arm shafts just need to get ew spring so I can do it all at once. I will be doing a new steering gearbox then the front will be done for now.
I picked up the waste gates, blow off valve, and the fuel lines yesterday. I just need injectors and one more fuel pump. I need to test fit the fuel tank from the 97 burban to see what I need to make it work and I can start running the fuel lines. I am so stoked. |

It runs a drives. I just did a 1300 mile road test. Lol. Front end shakes so time for new "bushings". And springs. Will put on rear shocks as well.
