Vette engine into a Vette should be simple

How hard can it be to put a Vette engine in a Vette? LS3 crate engine into a '69. It will get a cam before the project fires up. An LS3 will pull over 550 HP with just a mid sized cam, headers and ECU tune. There are still a few loose ends to tie up but it seems like every loose end hits the credit card for about $500 though.

Cool project! Vette looks good. Loose ends always add up, so I never count anything $100 or less.

If you are going to restomod a classic Vette that's the way to do it.
I can't wait to see it finished.
Can we talk you into taking someone for a ride and making a driving video?

Thank you!
I'm familiar with Harrison, I was a recruiter, and recruited in Jonesboro for a few years .

The community of car/truck people and what's up is never clutter in my threads, glad you checked in. If it is service related then it puts my vehicle stuff to shame.

Re: Vette engine into a Vette should be simple

I was surprised to find no intake piston to valve clearance with the cam I added. All I can figure it that is has a very fast ramps and a lot of duration at .0300" or so. Here's the specs for the piston kisser: Duration @ .050 (Int/Exh): 227/238 , Valve Lift (Int/Exh): .583"/.600", LSA/ICL: 112/108. Sixteen small notches later...
