I'm glad I'm not the only one that cant pass up buying cool stuff. The truck I'm getting is a 42 Chevy. If you end up with the caprice I have a 383 LT1 left over from one of my Trans Ams, that should really wake it up. I'm making progress on the organizing . Ive found stuff I didn't know I have.

Thanks , I just keep looking and buy when I find something for a decent price. It just takes patience which I normally don't have a lot of. I enjoy the search and the road trip to get it so that helps.

I spent all morning getting my Dads 55 Chevy running. I did manage to move some more junk around. Here are some more parts finds.

It was completely unplanned but it looks like this project is done. I picked up a 1942 Chevy 1/2 ton yesterday. It is a rough but complete original with very little rust through. The good thing is all of the mechanical stuff and drop axle I have for the 50 will work on this .

If anyone is interested in the 50 frame and body send me a PM.

My grill is trashed. I will keep an eye for extra grills when hunting parts.

The part I am looking for is the piece that seperates the upper and lower section of the grill, a filler piece
