Canadian GMC SPID

I have a few question about things on my SPID that I have not seen before. Maybe these are all Canadian plant differences
1. Vin number appears to have been printed at two different times. The model info is lighter, and the serial number at the end is darker and different alignment. Like the SPID was removed from the printer, then reinserted to be finish printed
2. The W/base contain IN. What does IN mean? It is a 127” long bed.
3. SE number. I have read it was common for the Ontario plant for include a SE number
4. The color code and interior trim code are listed at the top of the SPID. I have only seen them listed at the end. Was this a Canadian way of doing it?
5. The color code is mis-aligned.
6. There is a blank line in the SPID. I have never seen this before
7. No emission option code, but the engine has an air injection pump. Truck is a 1970 C2500. I thought 3/4 tons were exempt. I would not expect emissions equipment on a '70 unless it had a SPID option listed.
Are these all just plant variations?

I can not upload pics. I tried from desktop and mobile. I have never had a problem before. I will try to add them later.

Re: Canadian GMC SPID

Your Spid looks normal to me. Oshawa did them this way. I've attached some so you can compare. Your truck although an Oshawa build was sold knew into the USA others your Spid would have Mandatory Canadian Base equipment on the Spid.

Re: Canadian GMC SPID

OK, mime looks exactly like the examples shown, includIng the spacing, indentation, and vin number. I just haven't seen vary many Canadian one. I bet somebody typed these up in advance, then out on the shop floor they added the VIN sequence no.

Only question remaining is why is the emission equipment not sperrcified? Maybe if I get the GM Canada documents and find out where it was originaly sold, it will explain why it was included.

Side question, what is included in Mandatory Canadian base equipment?

Thanks for the helpm

I'm with you about being typed in advance and the last 6 of the serial number added at build time. I do not think there were any emission ( with the exception of California) back then so nothing was on the spid. I've never researched what the Z49 Mandatory Canadian Base Equipment was all about.

Re: Canadian GMC SPID

Check out Post # 5 in this link. This makes sense to me.
