heater fan whine
the heater fan motor in my truck makes a high pitched whine. what can i do to fix it because it is really anoying

Temperory fix--drill small hole in houseing end where shaft butts out and oil--real fix new motor.

After drilling and oiling, put a dab of sealant there to seal it up.
This temp fix can make your blower motor last at least (up to) 5 more years, maybe longer. |

Mine has just started whining. This is a procedure I'll need to perform soon. What oil have you guys been using?

Seriously though the new motors arent very expensive and well worth the money to keep from hearing the whine! 70short/step |

I used powder graphite on mine,a nd filled the hole with The Right Stuff sealant.

In my 67 GMC W/O air I fixed mine by grabbing a Caddie (not sure which year) W/air from the junk yard- On defrost it will roll ur hair back on you head.

buy a new one, they are very cheap and in most cases you can get one for free

whiner
my fan sarted to whine then oneday it was buzzing when i pulled it to fix the motor and cage were completely worn out just replace the motor and cage it is less costly than listening to the whiner

It is either the front or rear bushing in the motor. Just replace it. Easy fix...
