Steering clearance for low ride

I'm working on a 57 Truck. I have installed a 2nd gen Camaro clip and am trying to fit wheels/tires up front. The Camaro clips are a little on the wide side. I have tried a few different wheels/tires with no luck on making them fit. I would like to tuck the tires in the fender as much as possible and be able to turn the wheels full lock. Obviously, that is not going to happen.

How much travel from ride height should I plan on? It looks like with a 225/45r18 and roll the fender lip, I can get about 2-3" of travel before the tire contacts the fender while turning. Full aired out, I can barely turn the wheels at all. I would love to use a 235 or 245 tire, but there is now way that will happen. I don't want to set it up with a 4x4 stance to make the tires clear the fenders. lol

Those with low ride, are you able to turn your wheels aired out?

This is a 245 +10mm offset. At 1" of travel and turning, the tire hits the fender.

Aired out, no turn

I see two options shortening the a arms or set of custom made wheels to fit with the back spacing you need.

If you want a tool to play with a percy's wheelrite wheel let you test out any rim size, back spacing even tire size to a point.
