Old Chevys and Vettes
Who doesn't like old Chevys and Vettes? The cell phone pics do not do these Danbury Mint , Franklin Mint and West Coast Precision models justice.

Re: Old Chevys and Vettes
Nice collection. Back in 1966 the kid across the street got a black-inside-and-out 1964 Impala 327/4 speed. His grandfather bought the car for him. The kid that sold the car didn't want it any more as it wasn't fast enough, so his father bought him a brand new 66 Chevelle 396/4 speed!
And before I went to Vietnam, a whole group of returning veterans bought about 6 or 8 1962 Impalas with their "shipping over" bonus. Wasn't sure why they all bought 62's but they did. I think as a group they owned just about every 62 in Yuma at the time. We also had a 20+ year old kid in high school with a 62(?) Vette. All I remember about it was it was blue and fuel injected. You could hear the thing coming for blocks as the FI made a very loud hissing noise when running. I always thought the sound effects were cool.
