I'm back.

Hello everyone, I am back for a short while to let everyone know I am very thankful for everyone's help finding my trucks problem, now for some explanations...

My last post was a post regarding a problem I had thought was urgent at the time, but didn't realize it to be such an easy fix. I posted URGENT in the title because at the time I had no idea what was going on with the truck, as I hardly knew much about working and fixing cars, just historical, and physical knowledge of them. I have learned much more recently on how to do many more things, though I still will say I am not the nearest as keen or knowledgeable in mechanics and or repair as anyone here. Again, I apologize for my misconception of the problem.

As for the starter problem, I know its taken me awhile to fix it, and I know its not a hard thing to do at all, I just have had hardly any time because of school work, volunteer work, and constantly being away from the truck when I do have the time, as my parents are divorced and I am with my dad most breaks, and the truck is at my moms. I was able to get the starter in, but after waiting so long, which I am angry I did, the truck has developed a few other problems I need to get sorted out, but I will get those as soon as I am able, due to upcoming Final Exams and other family events, as I will be getting surgery sometime during the summer and don't know how long I will have to stay inactive.

Finally, I do apologize for any mishaps I may have caused in my threads, and I also apologize for a late explanation and inability to do the work. I know it sounds like I could have done it right away and just be done with it, but being that I am 16, I have to focus more on my school career and be able to achieve my main life goals while putting aside some of the smaller ones. (Don't get me wrong, getting my truck running is one of my most important goals currently, but it won't alter my future as much as my school career, which is why I've been focusing on that more.)

I hope to come back and talk to everyone regularly and be able to meet new people and learn more information on this page to come . Thank you for listening! Again I apologize for everything! I'm sorry!

Don't sweat it. This board is like a family. Sometimes you end up talking to the cranky old uncle, but most of the time you get good advice and lots of friendly support.

Hey, welcome back! Asking questions is the way you learn. We all have bad days and sometimes post things we wish we hadn't. Brush it off and post away.... People here love talking trucks.

Re: I'm back.

I don't know what is going on and don't care it is good to have you back and I'm sensing youth from you so hang out and you can learn some great things here about these trucks and if I can help in any way holler at me. I've been in the body shop business for almost 30 years and have had my hands greasy for 40 plus a few. I built my first car [dad said if I got it running I could have it ]at nine and I've learned a few things along the way and love to pass on things I've learned. Jim

Re: I'm back.

the car at nine wasn't a big rebuild but for a nine year old it seemed that way. Jim

Re: I'm back.

Great news! The truck runs once again, and its running better than ever! After sitting for months, she started right up with no issues! Now all I need to sort out are the brakes, thermostat problems, windshield wipers, and some gaskets, and my truck will hit the road once again!
