Retaining 250 I6 and 4speed while laying frame?
I have a couple questions. I dont know where to ask them. I assume someone has laid frame while retaining the stock 4 speed transmission and the 250 engine. Does anyone know of a build thread on that? or any info?
The trans mount hangs down as much as the front subframe did. the trans hangs almost as low aswell. am I going to need to cut up the cab in order to raise the trans? I need to raise the engine aswell. any good ideas on doing this? I know I could just make new engine mounts. but Im thinking maybe keeping the stock mounts and making a spacer between the rubber and the upper engine mount. anyone have pics of something like that? Im really hoping I do not need to modify the cab floor. But if I need to then I will and Ill just make it lay rockers if thats the case. |
