Now there's a *short* short bed for ya.

I like how he fabbed the fender wells in the stepper to look like they are later model.

Fun "truck".

Those wheels cost more than $5000. Sell the wheels and get the truck free.

No doubt there's some value there.
Lots of work.

But it looks like a better starting point than I had on mine.

Question Re: 72 with 26in rims....

it looks like a pile of $hit. pull off whatever sheetmetal that hasn't been screwed up and scrap the rest. as for the wheels, if some other moron was willing to buy them, sell them and put the money into a new frame that isn't butchered. i'm sure my opinion will upset some people but i don't like seeing our trucks butchered up like that.

Right.

But even if this guy is out of the running for the fabber of the "Original of the Month", and even if he's been too free with the torch,
grinder, hacksaw, and rebar bender, he's still flinging a wrench.... and giving someone the opportunity to come in and salvage
any parts that may not be shot....I dare say that's more of a contribution to the disease than the guy that swerved in front of
me this morning in his dumb Smartcar.

Instead of piling on (although I agree with the bile comments), I choose to look for something good...even if it's tough to do it...
...like in this case.

Hell, a cab (depending on rust) and misc. parts...any real info on a running motor (can I hear it run), any other drive train info...parts, etc.
Nothing stopping someone from asking him to keep the frame and later model bed in his driveway... and offer to give him $1,000...Or $100.
Or something in between.

And, still, I'd rather have coffee with him in his driveway than with that Smartcar driver.

I would have liked to have a bulldozer around for that Smartcar this morning.
But if he stopped and offered me his pink slip and walked away, I wouldn't squash the little bastard.

Instead, I'd end up with a few Benjamins in my pocket. I don't care if they come from selling a small
death trap, or from selling some 26's to a deserving Escalade, F%$d F350, or Hummer driver.

That's just me.

I was just wondering if I had the brass to make it roll... Selling the wheels makes more sense to my taste, but I am curious...

Re: 72 with 26in rims....

I'm interested in what he wants to trade for. Probably just missing punctuation, but I read that he was looking for a 'dually corvette v8.' Seems like he is chasing unicorns...
