Re: 1967-68 CST horn button (show quality)

The restored buttons run $125.00. The two in the most recent pics were two that I restored for a board member.

Re: 1967-68 CST horn button (show quality)

i have a button with a perfect center and all tabs intact and not cracked. the chrome ring is pitted but no gouges. seems like an ideal candidate to restore. can you pm me a cost to either restore this one for me, or to use as a core (trade plus cash) for a show quality piece. thanks

Re: 1967-68 CST horn button (show quality)

It is not all that hard just very tedious. I would not recommend taking it apart unless you have a very steady hand and a lot of patience. I have to try and find a reputable chrome shop to do some of these. The last place I used started out good then they took forever on my second batch and the quality was not as good as the first batch and I had to have them replate half of them. Elliot I will look tonight for a driver center piece.
