What makes the "special" two tone so special?

On my recently acquired 77 crew cab, it has an option that states special two tone. What's the difference between that, and normal two tone?

Also, isn't there some service where you can send the Vin number in and they will send you back a build sheet or something?

Here is the spid,

And a pic of the truck,

Thanks!

I don't think the special meant anything but it was not a solid color.

Re: What makes the "special" two tone so special?

I was thinking the "Special" two-tone paint had the secondary color down the sides of the truck (like yours) and the "deluxe" two-tone had the secondary color down the sides and the top/rear of the cab.

Re: What makes the "special" two tone so special?

Thanks Keith! That answered my question in that literature. There is conventional, special and deluxe.

Do they have a short bed version of the 4-door? If not, has anyone ever created one?

From the factory the crew cab in this body never got a short bed,But many people have built their own by shortening the frame.Look around for ccsb threads you'll see them on this forum.
