Cleaning a face shield

I had some neighbor's trees to bring down this morning, and I was thinking about replacing my face shield (basic 3M full-face polycarbonate) because it was so scratched I was having a hard time seeing. I thought, "I don't have anything to lose, so let's see what I can do with this."

I first washed it with warm water and dish soap and let it dry. Then I used Meguiars PlastX to remove most of the scratches. It turned out pretty well. It's not like new, but I will definitely get some more good use out of it before I have to replace it.
