What is the modern tyre equivalent to 7.0 x 16"?
Looking for some tyre advice please guys.
I've just bought a set of 16" wheel from a 1961 Chevy C-10. They currently have a cross-plys fitted which are 7.0 x 16" I want some new tyres with sidewalls about the same height to keep them looking similar and keep the gearing as it is ( low profile tyres obviously will reduce the overall radius and therefore lower the gearing) So, the question is - what is the modern tyre equivalent size to the original 7.0 x 16's? These are the wheels............ |

I'm assuming you want radial, not bias ply.http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....150524150336:s
