WTB: 63-66 GMC factory automatic V6 setup
Got a friend whose original V6 / Powerglide truck was swapped to a 4 spd manual some time in its life, and he wants to go back to the correct automatic setup - what we need is to find someone who has a rotted piece of junk 63-66 GMC with all its original automatic drivetrain in it, and either buy all that or the whole truck to get what he needs. MUST be a V6 equipped automatic setup - not off a 66 GMC w/ straight six. Cannot be Chevrolet parts either - GMC V6 setup specifically. He needs the trans, crossmember, V6 adaptor plates and flywheel, special flexplate, hardware, and the V6 to auto trans kickdown linkages, and column to trans linkage rod. If present, might take the column too. Like I said, it will be the best fit possibly to buy a whole non-running crappy and rusted out old truck and just buy the whole thing if we can find one complete enough to do the job. Let me know what you have please - we will buy from a junkyard too if you see one when you are out and around - thanks!
