Re: ended up with this one today
Im planning on running NO-E street next year with it some . Nice street car , vintage air , power steering discs . Guy said he had 19K in it . It was sitting in a garage for 6 years and the guy pushed it out to clean the garage and take some stuff to a local swap meet . A buddy of mine went to look at the house for sale next door and called me . I went over and it was sitting in the yard next to a 70 elcamino . The elco had a old for sale sign in it so i called . The guy was home . He shot me a crazy high price at first then the more we talked the better the price became . Said the motor was to high compression for the street anyway 10K and the timing was off a tooth at the distributor . Guess the gamble paid off .

Re: ended up with this one today
A bit of an update . The trans leaked from every seal . So pulled it for a rebuild seal job .The previous owner walked into the machine shop and gave them the old "I want A 500 horsepower SBC " so he got a flat top 383 with 64 cc heads . Nice piece , but not pump gas friendly at all. I pulled the motor and had a flattop 350 .060 built with a .204/.214 .450/.460 cam and a set of 67 cc world torque S/R heads new dual plane and a jetted down 750 demon I had laying around . Runs like a top .
The wiring was horrible so I cleaned it up and got all the factory lights working . New speedo cable . Just got it back to factory wiring plus a nice stereo . Got a front end alignment coming up then start driving it .
