Compressor setup in the weather

I've done some searches but didn't find what I'm looking for. I am building out my 64 C10 and planning on running my tank and dual 444 compressors in the back of the bed exposed to the weather. My plans are to have the cable run back to the bed to the stinger relay that hooks to the compressors. Anybody see any issues with this? I have seen people's setup like this, just wondering

Re: Compressor setup in the weather

That sounds like a good plan. The compressors are pretty well sealed up against moisture and dust. If you think it might get a lot, then I do recommend running the remote filter setups that come in the kit. Just locate the filters in a dry location where it can get good air.

When running the power cable, just make sure to use heavy enough wire to support the amp draw of the compressor. I would maybe recommend 2 separate 40-amp relays instead of one large one. If for some reason the relay fails, it takes out both compressors. If running separate, it will leave one working to get you where you need to go.

We keep the parts in stock, so let us know if we can help.

All that expense, wiring and hassle when an old junkyard York 210 does a better job, quieter and hassle free. Just my opinion of course, and my first hand experience with above EDC.
