cant find rear brake hose!!!

Im changing out all the brake and fuel lines on my 71 C 20 before I put on the new cab. I cant find the correct rear flex line for my truck. It bolts to the rear axle on top of a bracket bolted to the rear cover and has a junction built in that has 2) 7/16 20 female holes the other end is horse shoe clipped to the chassis also with a 7/16-20 female hole to accept a 1/4'' steel brake line. Has anybody else had a problem finding this? does anybody have a part number? Here's some pictures. It has rear leaf springs.

Re: cant find rear brake hose!!!

Did you try NAPA?
Often on a replacement hose for an application like this you will have to add a tee for the left right hard axle line split.

As far as I can tell its one of these two P/Ns.

...0257
...9747

Unfortunately both are listed as discontinued and I cannot find a supercession either.

Re: cant find rear brake hose!!!

Rock Auto lists several options. If nothing else, you can get part numbers by looking at their website. For example,RAYBESTOS Part # BH36684 for $5.46. They also have pictures of the hose and show a length of 18.32".

Re: cant find rear brake hose!!!

I tried Napa but they only showed the one with the single male end at the axle. Auto zone only had that same one too. First owner 69 you have the winner from rock auto, just ordered it. Thank to all, another problem solved by the Chevy , GMC truck community.

Re: cant find rear brake hose!!!

Raybestos lists 4 different lengths.
Rear Center hose; 22.31" length - BH36542 - appear to be no T
Rear Center hose; 20.50" length - BH36683 - appears to be a T hose
Rear Center hose; 18.69" length - BH36564 - appear to be no T
Rear Center hose; 18.32" length - BH36684 - appears to be a T hose

Re: cant find rear brake hose!!!

I got mine at autozone, and it was an exact match, but about an inch longer which didn't matter.
